Terms of Service

Service — the CometWeb SaaS platform (Insight + ecosystem). User — natural person or legal entity using the Service. Plan — feature tier (Free / Growth / Studio / Scale). Comet Credits — billing units.

An account requires an active e-mail. The User is responsible for password confidentiality and all actions performed via the account. You may close the account at any time — data is deleted within 30 days.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscription auto-renews. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the paid period. Right of withdrawal (consumers): a consumer, and a sole trader buying for non-professional purposes, may withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason by emailing hello@cometweb.io. If the service started at your request before that period ends, the right expires for the part already provided, and for a plan paid in advance we refund the amount proportional to the unused period. Businesses buying for their professional activity (B2B) have no right of withdrawal. The binding wording is §12 of the Terms of Service at app.cometweb.io/terms. Credits already spent on completed scans are not refunded (see section 4), though credits are returned automatically if a scan fails on our side. Prices are final — no VAT is added at checkout. The seller is a natural person without a registered company (no NIP/KRS); the available sales document is a receipt (rachunek), not a VAT invoice. Confirm any other billing need before purchase. Payment records may also appear in-app as provided by Stripe. The partner pilot is separate from paid checkout: qualifying participants may receive time-limited testing access under individually confirmed terms. It does not start a paid subscription or automatic renewal unless the participant later buys a plan. Pilot scan results and reports follow the same retention rules as the applicable plan (or Free if there is no conversion), unless the participant deletes the account or requests erasure. Documented feedback may be used in anonymized aggregate form for product improvement; we do not publish identifiable case studies without consent.

Credits renew with the subscription cycle anchored to its start date and do not roll over. Unused credits are non-refundable. Additional credit packs are not currently available; higher usage requires a plan change or an individually agreed Enterprise plan.

You may scan: (a) domains you own, (b) client domains with their written consent — subject to plan credits (not the research daily cap), (c) publicly accessible domains for research (rate limit 1 scan/day/domain). Prohibited: scanning to attack, scraping private data, bypassing rate limits.

CometWeb retains all rights to the platform, code, report templates, documentation. Generated reports (PDF, JSON) are yours and may be used commercially (including white-label on the Scale plan).

We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee or service credits. We work to keep the platform available and will tell you about planned maintenance and significant incidents. A dedicated SLA can be agreed individually under Enterprise.

CometWeb is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, or loss of data beyond the amount paid in the last 12 months. Exclusions do not cover gross negligence or willful misconduct.

The Terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes are resolved by the courts of general jurisdiction in Poland competent for the controller (Maciej Zmitrukiewicz).
